The deductible is your own contribution to the Health insurancesimilar to the excess in Germany. It is compulsory and can be chosen between CHF 300 and CHF 2500. The higher the deductible, the lower the monthly health insurance premiums. People who are generally healthy often opt for the highest deductible of CHF 2,500 in order to significantly reduce their monthly premiums. If, on the other hand, you regularly need expensive medication, for example, you could opt for a deductible of CHF 300. Incidentally, the amount of the deductible can be adjusted every year on 1 January. This flexibility offers the advantage of being able to adjust the deductible according to your current health situation. Do you have any questions?
