As relocation goods, also Removal goods are items that belong to you and that you have owned for more than 6 months. Your date of entry into Switzerland is decisive for categorisation as household effects. Removal goods include, for example, furniture, clothing and jewellery. Your Car is recognised as removal goods if you have owned it for more than 6 months. The advantage of this regulation is that you can import your removal goods into Switzerland duty-free. Incidentally, it is not necessary to transport all of your removal goods in a single journey; you can import them into Switzerland in several deliveries. However, it is important that you declare your car as removal goods at customs on the official moving day.
